Summer. 🌼🌿🌞🦋🐝🐦

I keep forgetting to post garden pics but this year is the first year that I feel my garden is whole. Everything is growing in and finally getting to its full size. I've barely needed to add new plants at all (at least compared to previous years 😋). I still have lots of things to work on but this summer I've spent so much time just sitting outside and enjoying the flowers, birds, bees and butterflies. Truly a dream come true.

I've been working on several projects in my backyard this past month and I'm so happy to be done with everything before the summer heat got here.

The first project was redoing this small section of my yard beside our house and right below the deck. I've been using it as a little potting area to store all of my gardening supplies. It's in shade most of the time so the ground was all dirt and weeds, very uneven and very muddy after a rain.

I decided to add gravel to the whole area and add a little sitting area. It was a LOT of work (carting all the gravel from the driveway to the opposite side of the backyard was the worst part 😓) but I could not be happier with how it turned out.

I got an adorable little bench and I re-used one of the pallets that the gravel was delivered on to create a cute planter to display some flowers.

It's so nice to be able to sit and look out at my garden, watch the birds and just enjoy my backyard. It's finally starting to look like I envisioned when we moved in 4 years ago.

I decided to add gravel to the whole area and add a little sitting area. It was a LOT of work (carting all the gravel from the driveway to the opposite side of the backyard was the worst part 😓) but I could not be happier with how it turned out.

I got an adorable little bench and I re-used one of the pallets that the gravel was delivered on to create a cute planter to display some flowers.

It's so nice to be able to sit and look out at my garden, watch the birds and just enjoy my backyard. It's finally starting to look like I envisioned when we moved in 4 years ago.
